Watching her today she's not gone near the nest. So I went out there, found 6. I candled them w/ a flashlight, and it looked like 1 of them 'might' be viable, the rest I couldn't tell. But then this is my first time ever doing this, so I could be completely off. meh. I'm looking for more... -

Our Choc Indian Runner, Lucy, has been disappearing mostly at night to underneath our porch. I didn't realize it til tonight (well my husband did) that she has a little pile of eggs under there! Cracked open an egg this afternoon, and there's this huge hard looking chunk about the size of a marble (not as round) in the white of the egg. I should've taken a picture to show everyone, it doesn't look like a meat spot. I was weirded out and threw it out instead. Could this have been a meat... -

Dog attack, 2 bites down to the meat.
Thank you for the info. We made a complaint to the local police as well. She's in a big box we had as we don't have a kennel, with shavings. Apparently no one really does poultry in my area, so we'd have to take her up to the university to get sutured. The on call vet let me know that it would...- rleome

Dog attack, 2 bites down to the meat.
Our pet chicken Henrietta got attacked by a small dog about a half hour ago. At first we thought he only got a mouthful of feathers and she was jsut really shaken up.
