I've been worried about my chicks too. Put a fan outside the coop run, blowing over frozen water milk jug. Giving ice water when I'm home, but they are still panting. They get plenty of shade. Don't know how else to help them- rlep

@Beckasue2Beckasue2, I live in Fowler. I have two Easter Egger pullets, and what I found out from this site, are probably Rhode Island Reds, pullet and cockerel. I bought them at Farm and Home Supply in Quincy. The RRRs were supposed to be Cinnamon Queens pullets. I had RRRs years ago, and...- rlep

Cinnamon Queens?
I may sound stupid, but what do you mean as "hatchery quality"? Is it good or bad? I did buy these from a local farm and home supply store. I had a dozen RRR years ago. They were good layers.- rlep

Cinnamon Queens?
Both of these are supposed to be Cinnamon Queens, approximatelly 10 weeks old. One has waddle and comb. The other does not. What is going on? I am a newby. I hope there is a picture with this.- rlep
