My Peking Ducks' Bill is Almost Completely Black?

He seems perfectly normal. Feet are normal. I give them red palm oil based on a recommendation from a vet who told me it helps with their immune system. I am going to start giving them more corn and kale.

Does the hardness from bumble foot go away with time?

The vet we took her to today was an exotics vet who did a much better job with her. He said it appears to him to be septic arthritis. He did a culture. We will know in a few weeks. However, this may explain why there was the same big black scab we saw last time she had bumble foot.

Does the hardness from bumble foot go away with time?

My duck has been on anti-biotics. I believe the infection is gone. The foot is no longer warm etc. However, the large hard mass is still there. She is going to the vet tomorrow to get his opinion. My question is, does this large hard lump, presumably the hardened pus and tissue, go away with...

Need Some Advice on This Bumblefoot Case

There is no scab any more. Nothing ever came out. I would have to cut her. I got a recommendation for a new vet. He is an exotics vet recommended by a duck rescue woman. She goes next week. Hopefully he can help her. I hope we don't have to put her down :(

Need Some Advice on This Bumblefoot Case

So I have a Peking with severe bumble foot. She had it last year, and we treated, and she recovered. She was fine all summer. Then this fall, it came back with a vengeance. The same exact spots. Mild case on one foot, and severe on the other. We have been taking her to a vet for three weeks...

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on with my gal?

She passed away. We have taken samples to the vet, but they have gotten back to us. They said if we don't hear, that means nothing was found, but I am going to call to confirm. IDK..the poor gal maybe just had something internal going on. The rest of the flock seem fine.

How Long After Deworming Before See Improvement

Yeah, they have room. We bought a shed for them and a huge fence so they could have a big run. However, she is the older gal in the group, and very tiny compared to the others. We do have waterers in several places. We add probiotics but I think we are going to add apple cider vinegar too. She...

How Long After Deworming Before See Improvement

Thank you. I attached photos of her bum. No evidence of mites etc. Note I did try to treat her for fungal and that may no difference. I at first thought maybe it was fungal. She does not appear to be molting. She appears to have all her feathers etc. However, I wasn't sure if she was at the very...

How Long After Deworming Before See Improvement

Hi All, I have a hen who had a messy bottom and pale comb. All rest of the flock are fine. I suspect she has worms. I administered Valbazen last night. I chose this because, given the season, I wasn't sure her molting state and I also didn't want to risk shock. They say Valbazen kills more...

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on with my gal?

I thought I relied to this, but I don't see my reply. She hasn't been dewormed, but I see no signs of worms. I got her "Medi-statin" and we are going to try that.
