    thank you guys for the info, sorry took soo long to respond, my bf was sooo mad for what he did to dis daughter he just broke his neck and threw him in the woods, didn't feel like messin with him, but i will know for next time if we ever want to eat one, thnx again!!

    We are killing our rooster, he is getting way to violent. We've never ate any of our birds, but i don't see any sense in wasting the meat, and he is a little old would the meat be any good to eat anyway??

    earlier i had read(and before) about trimming beaks, a couple of months ago i got a silkie that was a year old and didn't notice that her beak was cooked til we got home. she eats find and seems to be doing ok, is okay to leave her beak the way it is or should i trim it??

    oh yes, hatching is very wonderful, i can only imagine how you guys with children feel. when i watched our first one( actually the second born) come out of the egg, is was so beutiful, it is just soooo amazing!! And also, that is what i said to my bf, and he said he would start selling them...

    Hmm.. maybe it's something in the air. my rooster has been doing the same thing. his privlaged were revoked a couple days ago and he got to sit in a cage all alone!

    sorry about your chicken! have faith though, ( they probably just spooked) they will start laying again. we usually let our chickens roam during the day and about a month ago we had a coyote come up in the middle of the day and he got one of our hens and our duck, and our hens are just now...
