I live in a very humid climate. Things rust and decay easily here. A plastic coop would be perfect for this climate , easy to maintain and a perfect environment for the girls. I love this coop it is good looking and easy to care for a winner all the way.
I would not bother getting a fence as we have a 5 foot fence which they were getting under, I then lined the bottom of the fence with large rocks, now they just fly over.
Mahalo for offering such a well written funny observation about chickens I have decided to get some this spring and as you said I am trying to find any information I can. It is so nice to see something written with humor. It gives me a better idea what to expect.

I have been searching the internet learning about caring for backyard chickens during this time I have seen many coops my question is about the placement of food and water some put it inside the coop and some put it in the run I wondering where it should go ?
