    What chicken is this?

    I bought this chicken from cackle hatchery in MO and its supposed to be a silver laced Wyandotte. I dont think it is. It's about 5 months old and has feathers poking out on it's face like a polish breed. Any help appteciated.

    Sounds like a great breed especially for the meat ... their size is amazing. And I think my grandson will love them too.

    I live in Missouri where it does get cold and sometimes long winters so I'm thinking of raising light Brahma chicks for my main breed of my flock. Anyone have experience with this bird and recommendations?

    I doubt there is...thier getting food and water at the same time...it works very well

    The short time I've been raising chickens I've found that they really don't like the layer pellets and will eat crumble sometimes. I have also found that if your feeding in a tray if you fill it with layer pellets then ad water so it comes out as a soft mush they will absolutely tear it...

    Do y'all keep constant feed on your chicks or feed them at different times? Also medicated or not? I've read different things on the internet and wanted y'alls opinions.
