Totally understand good animal husbandry but after having 4 indoor cats for 14 years I'm totally over cat litter boxes. Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if it's outside. We'll see.

I assume you have to have a litter box in their dog kennel but once they are set free is the expectation that you will still have to provide a litter box? I want to get some as well but I don't want to clean more litter boxes (we already an inside cat).

I get mine at the Dexter Mill. I buy non GMO feed for $18 a pound for 50 lbs. actually it might be 18.99 a pound I can't remember. I know I could get feed cheaper at TSC but this is fresher, non GMO and I like to support the local mill.

Just trying to stay a step ahead of the girls and get an idea of my options! In the past I've either used my own eggs or I've gotten fertile eggs from a neighbor but she's roosterless at the moment and we are soon to be too.

Does anyone in the Dexter / Chelsea / Ann Arbor area have fertile hatching eggs? Just planning ahead for my next broody hen. I don't need them now just trying to get an idea what might be available this spring or summer.
