Help! Need help identifying my ducks!

The white could be a White layer which I think is what I have too. I thought runners where a bit skinnier than what you have so maybe the spotted one could be a cross b/w a runner and another breed.

    Type of breed

So turns out, mine is not a Khaki campbell but looks to be a Buff? so weird. I have a couple of books that you may want to get. I've been reading both but one more then other and they are fairly cheap on amazon. "Duck Eggs daily" Lisa Steele and "Raising Ducks" by Dave Holderread. Duck eggs...

    Duckling breathing with mouth open

I had a few pant when they were young...I don't think it's life threatening. My females panted even under the heat lamp which you would think they would have gotten away from. I cracked a door thinking maybe they were hot and also had the deeper dish for them to dunk their head into but they...

    Ducklings

I'm new to the duck owning thing too and one book I've been reading and can't put down is "Duck eggs Daily" by Lisa Steele. Amazon has it. Has all the info you need from Hatching ducks all the way to adult duck life. I really recommended it! I'm loving having the ducks so far has been so...

Please help identify our new ducks

2nd pic looks like a Rouen. At a young age both males and females have the same feather markings but once they go into the adult mating seasons the males will change their feathers. 1st pic maybe Australian spotted duck.

    URGENT- help runner duckling panting

He can also have some food stuck in his nostrils try putting a little Tupperware deep enough for him to dunk his beak into. That always seemed to help mine when panting.

    Type of breed

When I bought my first two they looked the same but one ended up being a khaki Campbell which to me seems similar to what you have here. The down was always a bit darker than the other which is a Pekín. But maybe you have a Pekín too!

    Male or Female Ducklings!

If it's the quiet whispery thing I hear from my males then you have two males. Almost like they can't speak or it's hard to speak. Mine are about the same age too and I have two females that distinctively quack very loud!!!

    Hello! New Duck mom!

It has a drain at the bottom where we placed a pvc pipe and a valve. It's pretty new to us but the plan is to keep some barley grass and another stock tank cleaner in it. Drain it completely maybe once a month but during the month reuse some of the water by opening the valve and then refilling...

Help! Need help identifying my ducks!

Looks like you may have a Pekin and an Ancona. They are beautiful congratulations! Nice BF to give you such pretty ducks! Maybe females...I don't see the drake feathers that males usually have. Unless they are very young then they haven't gotten them yet.

How to tame new ducklings? They hate me :(

I have to say holding may be your best way. I always took one of my boys out of his brooding box and put him in my sweater pocket like a kangaroo mama. He even climbed my shoulder and hid under the hood. Just spend time with them try feeding them the chick starter out of your hand too. Mine were...

    Duckling breathing with mouth open

Hi cluckyducky21 I also had a few of my ducklings pant while in their brooding cage and they suggest putting water in a bowl deep enough for them to dunk their beak into sometimes food gets caught in their nostrils. I just kept a little tupperware with water near them. Whenever I would put it in...

    Am I doing it right?

yes sounds like they are a bit warm, your house is warm already but having the heat light to close to them may he overheating them. BYCforlife has a great suggestion for raising it up higher. Always keep food and Water away from the heat lamp as well. They will stay under the heat lamp for a few...
