    17 eggs hatched today (day 32) and 5 still waiting to hatch. They are still in the nest with their mama. I have a new question, will mama duck abandon her ducklings if I place them to a safer pen to avoid predators at night? Sorry for being noob, its my first time to raise ducks. Thank you.

    i think so too. 9 have so far hatched today, day 32, and the remaining are currently pipping out (at least 7 i think). mama duck is just standing above them waiting for all her babies to come out.

    Yes, our ducks are all muscovy. No, all of the eggs were set at the same time. The ducklings look okay and healthy. We dont have any incubator as of the moment but we have two broody ducks which both sit on one clutch of eggs (day 2).

    I have a muscovy duck which currently sits in 20+ eggs--some were from other ducks. Yesterday, day 31, one of the egg has already hatched. Is it normal for a muscovy egg to hatch that early? Unfortunately, one died yesterday due to ants coming inside the egg after the duckling pipped. Anyway...
