    I got this Polish hen about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Well is it normal for them to be shy? and she only seems to lay every other day. is that normal?

    Thanks Ashlyn! Ya I have a 4yr, 3yr and 1yr old girls... So thank you for the reinsurance info. Do rooster really get that loud? I live in a small town with not so close neighbors. I have never even heard a rooster before :O) So my kids and I are excited for that!

    Thank you! Well The 3 Americanas wont let me come near them. Very shy. Can I just keep the roo in the pin so my kids wont get hurt? We want to keep him(if it is a him) But if there is any chance of him hurting one of the kids...... Well thank you so much! Thank you... It was fun to build it...

    I was given 3 Americana awhile back. and I don't know much about them. So I have tons of questions! At what age do they start laying? I have one that I think is a roo! I'll post a picture so you can tell me what you think. Also if it is a roo will he be bad around younger kids? I keep them...
