Geese, vacations, and neighbors terrible guineas....

Hi All! My neighbors have 12 guineas that wander for miles. About three weeks ago, they came to our house, jumped our livestock fence, and scared my two Toulouse geese. One goose flew over the fence and went missing for over two hours. I was a mess. I've told the neighbors to try to keep their...

Oh no. OK I'll get whatever you suggest. What's the dose for the goat or horse paste??? I'll see if my Tractor Supply has it.

2 yr old rooster with occasional blood in stool

I bought the poultry one, not the goat one. So I think the instructions are on the package on how to add it to their water? I have a 2 gallon plastic waterer and 3 gallon metal waterer.

2 yr old rooster with occasional blood in stool

I have some Safeguard arriving tomorrow. I'll use that for a few days, his Vet isn't back until Sept 6th, so I can probably have them do a fecal sample if it's still happening after the deworming. Thank you!

2 yr old rooster with occasional blood in stool

Hi All! I have a 2yr old healthy roo-eating, running, drinking, jumping. About 2 days ago, I noticed in the mornings only- he will have about two stools with blood in them. The rest of the day they are normal stools. No other symptoms. No other chickens affected. Knock on wood, no issues ever...

    Gotta love Geese

I have three bantam chicken coops and am considering geese this Summer. I would love some French Toulouse and would raise them from hatching. Do they get along with your chickens? Should I do a pair of females or a trio with one male and 2 females??

    Anyone's chickens dealing with allergies??

Of course out of my 6 roos, he's the only one that won't willingly let me hold him. But no sneezing, oozing, anything of that sort. Perhaps it was a fire ant or bee sting....who knows at this point LOL

    Anyone's chickens dealing with allergies??

I'm near Winston-Salem. I've lived here 22 years but this is the worst I've seen. I've had to take Zyrtec and Flonase and my face just feels "full", so I'm not surprised about my rooster LOL

    Anyone's chickens dealing with allergies??

Our pollen count in NC is a record high. Today I noticed the skin on my roos face a little puffy/weird looking. Do you think it's allergies? Everyone else is normal. I have a liquid antibiotic and liquid Benedryl. Should I just treat him? Or leave it? His eyes aren't watery but the skin around...

Roo with hard crop-need treatment suggestions

I have a 16 month old Silkie Roo who is slightly lethargic and his crop didn't empty last night. It's hard. Other than massaging, is there a treatment I can do? I've heard metamucil and papaya enzymes?? Thanks for your help!

    Pressure sore or Bumblefoot?

So my 15 month old Silkie roo has these little scabs on the bottom of both his feet. No lameness, still high energy, they don't seem to bother him. I took him to the vet 10 days ago and he thinks they are more like pressure sores than bumblefoot. What do y'all think? I'm treating him with Epsom...

A funny story to introduce myself!

Hi All! I've been a chicken owner since I was born, and not to brag, but I won the FFA Poultry Production Award in 1993 LOL. That said, the last 15 years or so I've only had Silkies and my best story is with "Chadwick Melon" my Silkie roo. He's in a batchelor coop with his two other brothers...
