    Broken claws....cold or diet?

    This is a new one on me. I live in central minnesota its gets pretty cold here, about -5 now. I keep a lot of birds through the winter never had cold mess with the claws. Just a few questions for ya: How old are the birds? Have you kept guineas in the winter before? What feed are you giving them?

    My experience was pretty much the same they stuck with my silkie hen for most of the day but woundered off never found them. Just like silkie ma said grab them as soon as they hatch and put them in a brooder.

    As far as food goes a grower for chickens should work fine for you, im assuming they are adult birds.
