Mostly no but sometimes I clip them if they start roosting in the trees rather than come in the coop for their evening meal and bedtime!

My Chickens free range all day and only get fed at night. So when they hear me coming they race for the coop to get their dinner. Problem solved!

I have guineas, chickens and Muscovy ducks that have all been kept together at night for years. Two drakes. Never had a problem. Chickens and guineas have perches and the ducks have the floor. They free range all day.
