    We have had that happen too. We had one killed right away and another hit in her leg and we had to put her down because it was broken.

    What breed is this?

    Speckled Sussex. Not exactly like the feathers of the SS I raised but it's still an SS. The white under the beak is a dead giveaway.

    Yep that was my first impression too I raised calico princess from a baby a few years ago and that looks like one. Mine didn't have so many white spots, but she was the same color. However, my calico princess doesn't look like most calico princesses so I still think its a calico princess
