    Hen ate medicated chick starter-how long do we wait to eat eggs?

    So is it ok to eat eggs from hens that have been eating medicated chick feed by purina? My town doesn't have grower feed available.. so my 19 week olds have had chick starter this whole time. Should I switch them to laying feed or mix laying feed with he rest of the chick starter that I have...

    brooder in coop or indoors?

    How secure is the coop? If there's any chance of them getting out or predators getting in, I'd keep them inside... If it's secure as fort Knox then I'd put them out..

    Any Variety of Maran pullets 8+ Weeks old

    Looking to add 2 Marans of any variety to my flock. I want them to be around the same age as my flock, they were hatched on April 21st 2015. I'm located in Southern California, but have a friend that lives in phoenix area and he could pick them up. I think its too hot now to ship? Thanks

    I have 2 ba's and 1 has yellow feet and 1 has white/gray feet. They both a pear to be ba's. Did u buy from a hatchery? I did and that could be why.

    could be black australorps they have white colored feet. But it's a toss up for me I have 2 australorps and 1 has yellow feet and 1 has white.

    Training chickens to go in at night...

    We put our 3 week Olds in their coop for about 2 weeks before letting them out into the run. 1st day we had to round them all up for the night. 2nd day they all gathered on the ramp and then went in all by themselves!!! I think it helped that they were in the coop 1st for ahwile..
