    Chicken feed in SF Bay Area?

    Mike's is good, Concord Feed in Pleasant Hill is good, but Lucky Dog Pet Supply on San Pablo at Allston has always had feed when we need it. They also usually have a range of chicks/pullets as well.

    Just ordered from My Pet chicken

    Well, I just had an unfortunate order from them. We ordered 5, they sent 6. 1 DOA and 3 more died within 2 days. However the USPS took 2 full days to deliver them and the heat pack was still a little warm. I don't blame MyPetChicken at all, in fact they refunded the cost of the whole thing...

    I think the hatchery is just fine. I think the 2 nights it took in the mail, coupled with our misreading thermometer did them in. I just checked with our local feed store who said they weren't getting chicks until April, apparently got a whole slew of them in this week that hatched the same...
