    Update!! Danica is now Dan Dan the man. He started crowing yesterday. Which is so sad he was our cuddliest bird lol. So far no crow from Vera the black one. Fingers crossed she's a girl.     I'm only concerned because she seems to be the only one developing wattles in the picture her comb looks darker than it is. In reality it's a light pink a touch darker than flesh colour.

    We think they are about 8-10 weeks. I've been getting conflicting reports tho. A friend hatched them for us and assures us they are all female. I guess in the end only time will tell. They are all mixed breeds too so that doesn't help

    sorry to hijack your post but I was wondering if you guys could tell me your thoughts on Vera, she's supposed to be a pullet I'm concerned that she might be a he tho.

    Thanks so much!! We were going to start with pullets that were ready to lay but decided it would be more fun for our daughter to have the chicks. We learn something new every day that's for sure!

    A friend of ours hatched them for us, we were told they are all pullets, and there are some Orpington crosses but I can't find anything that looks like them online. It doesn't matter tho we love them just the same!

    Thanks so much! I figured she was a mutt, I'm pretty sure Vera is still Vera tho, compared to the other girls her comb is the same colour it's just a touch bigger. Only time will tell.

    It's hard to get all that in one shot lol. Her legs are grey and pink underneath her comb is pinkish red it's the white in her chest I can't find a picture like her. I'm concerned she may be a he. Here's some picture from just now. [/IMG]
