    Update: I noticed my dog sniffing a back corner by the fenceline and went out to find the rest of the chicken body. Only the upper half had been eaten. Looks like whatever got her tried to drag her under the fence and got the body stuck, so ate what it could and left. Slightly less mysterious...

    Here's a puzzler: I know it's pretty common to find a dead chicken with its head missing, but what takes the whole chicken and LEAVES the head? I found one of my young birds' head, a single wing, and its liver in my yard this morning. Very few feathers left behind, no blood at all. The head...
