    My wife says we shouldn't get a rooster she says we should only eaten on fertile eggs. What's your opinion. Thanks.

    Lethargic bird

    I originally joined this group because I had a sick bird. But by the time I joined it at already given the bird a shot of penicillin last night. The bird was very lethargic not moving not eating not drinking. I thought the hen might have been egg bound because she didn't lay the night before...

    No I read something about black skin chickens that lay dark green or blue almost black eggs I heard they're pretty expensive though. I'll see if I can find a picture.

    Not really sure what they are completely, I bought them at Tractor Supply like 4 days old. But I do know I have one leg horn five Rhode Island Reds and one black something.
