Hiyah all...not been on here for a while, just been mad busy with all the dog walking/bird duties/child duties and general housework. When i get a spare hour, I'll spin through all the (152) "replies" that I haven't yet read on the thread. Well, I'm glad the lockdown is over, my flock are...

Without being able to see the picture as I'm replying, its a good idea to put clean stones in their water providers so they can't drown if they fall in (you may have already done this, I just cant...

I have a super Splash Silkie cockerel from last season whom I'm hoping will prove fertile enough to father some chicks later this year. Really not sure...? I haven't seen it...loved the first one! I can recommend Hacksaw Ridge though, great film. My daughter went to see Hidden Figures yesterday. She said it was great.

Hiyah @RascalAndJemima Mine haven't tended to lose much weight seasonally but they may be eating less as they are less active due to the current lockdown situation. As long as they're on good quality layers pellets they'll be fine. A handful of corn and some brown bread as a treat may help too...

It's great in the Spring and Summer but from about November through till February, it's testing! I've been doing it since I had my daughter 12 years ago...it was meant to be a way to earn some pocket money short term with a baby in tow but I'm still at it!
