    poll: are you legal or an outlaw?

    I'm not sure if I'm legal or not...but I've seen other people in our small Indiana town with chickens, and someone even keeps sheep in their yard! We only have one neighbor, (who wants to get chickens too!) and they are ok with our chickens. So we're on a don't ask don't tell kind of policy!

    I'm no expert, but I'd say that your speckled sussex are pullets. We have four of the same kind, and they are pullets.

    These chickens were hatched in April. https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=33612 I think the first one maybe an ISA Brown. The other one with the speckled neck I'm not sure. Also, these are pullets right? Any guesses would be appreciated! Thanks!

    I'll get some current photos of them. Big Lou now has black feathers coming in on the tail and the wings.

    Thanks for all the posts! These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago, and all of our chickens have gotten bigger and have more color than in the pics. I have some other reds that I'm not sure the breed of that I will have to get pictures of. Thanks again!
