We got our first couple ducks and geese in April of 2017. We just wanted to have a couple birds on our pond so we could enjoy watching them.

As of April 2018, it has turned into over 150 waterfowl, guineas, turkey, poultry, peafowl, pheasant, swans, and emu! I now spend more time in my brooder room, barn, and on BYC than anything else! Most of our birds are free range and a few others are planned to go in the aviary. My closet is rarely touched as I am always washing my carharts and throwing a new one on a couple times a day lol.

I love this life and I love my birds. I never in a million years would have thought that I would be a bird person, but I am definitely just that!

Our next big project is the aviary. We have some beautiful birds that will go in there. Can’t wait to post updates and get feedback!
