I have no idea what killed it. Whatever it was took it out of the enclosure and its head was missing. The rest of the body was still there though. I live in crofton maryland, so maybe a coyote? I have no idea.
I was pretty shaken up this morning and cried a bit, but I realized most of my sadness was me feeling guilty for not protecting them. I want to do better with the other two. I am sure it will linger in my mind for a while.
