Thanks for all the kind advice and condolences. This is a great community and im just trying to get over the demise by reading all the stories of other pet chickens here. definitely am researching more into this "sour crop" thing.
My mum used to put some eye drops when my roo had a swollen eye. Sometimes its a mild swell but they scratch it due to the itch and it becomes worse or have cuts on face. Anyway the eye drops seemed to work maybe u can try.

my pet rooster just passed away yesterday and i was hoping i can get some answers here why. Have had it kept indoors for 6 years and am quite attached to it.

- We bathe it every week
- Its crown just keeps growing till one day it just started festering...
