Hi there!
I have been raising a flock of chickens since Spring of 2015. I have learned a lot over the years, and would love to share any knowledge I have that could help others.
I have around 70 chickens, most of which are rescues or retired laying hens. I also have 6 ducks, and have raised broad-breasted turkeys for Thanksgiving a couple times.
Raising and breeding laying hens has been a hobby for me, although I would like to try my hand at raising and processing meat birds.
Outside of poultry, I am a mom of two children- a boy and a girl, and I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a husband to tend to. (haha) I own a small restaurant that serves breakfast & lunch, and help my husband run his landscaping business. I keep myself very busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am an avid gardener, and work very hard to have a productive vegetable garden each year.
