So both my male silkies I keep together have had the implant for more than 3 months.
I paid for anesthesia and implant and labor for both Chickens and it turn out to be around 600$. A pretty penny LOL
Results are less than a miracle, but who was asking for one?

there are 2 dosage of implant 4.7 and one with more. If he is fully grown vet says higher dosage is recommended. My 2 silkie roos are best buddies and only a few months old so they havent developed rooster habits like crowing yet, so we did the lesser dosage.

My grower feed is 19% :( So Should I mix this oats with the pellets to lower protein intake?
I have 2 silkie roos at about 6 weeks old that just got the 4.7 implant. Cost me 591$ for both. Neither has crowed yet or grown spurs or facial features of rooster. I will keep you updated it's going to be 1 week on Monday the 17th. That's when the bet said it will be kicking in. Will reply here...

Hey all I found an avian vet who does the procedure and says that as long as the procedure is done before puberty, it is usually successful for the crowing and aggression. Only side effects are weight gain if not controlled. I will update later on

So one of my 2 Silkie chicks jumped out of the brooder last night.
This chick is 6 weeks old. They slept on the floor all night and made one poop.
I woke up and did not sehim so i searched frantically to find him a sleep on the floor between the brooder and the wall!
I was afraid he was dead but...
Well Probiotics are used in humans to harden stool like opposite of a stool softener.
Its used in people with ulcerative colitis and IBS for loose stools. It produces more of a firm stool. I dont have any poo pics but I know its healthy poo based off of the famous poo chart.
I guess we will see...
