Update: she is doing great. We are keeping her in our bathtub still but plan to put her back out on Wednesday maybe for a bit to see how she does. We also will be "closing" their pond to keep her safe and will get a kiddie pool. Her wounds are looking good, there's been no infections, and her...
I'm going to a feed store. I know to look for the injections mentioned before but is there anything else if they dont have that? I keep reading about save-a-chick is that something that would be beneficial to her? Last question, should I do a saline rinse every day? Thank you all for your help...
I did the saline rinse and cut away some feathers. She got pretty feisty so I put a light sheet over her head and she calmed right down. The picture with the blue arrow shows where I believe her oil gland was 😓 she isn't dripping blood anymore and I have put towels in the tub. Thank you for all...
All our feed stores are closed for the day. I will call them tomorrow morning to see what they have for antibiotics. I'm making saline now. I can't see an oil gland so I dont know if maybe it was bitten off. After I do the saline wash I will take more pictures.

My Appleyard was attacked by a dog. After reading some threads I tried to give her a warm bath but it just made her start bleeding. I sprayed her wound down with Theracyn. I don't have a vet I can go to for her and none of our pet stores carry things for ducks. Anything I would need specialty...
Texas Kiki I live in Washington state.
Helloworld I did look up foamy eye and was going to treat her for it but found her dead the same day, just hours after I saw the foamy eye. Everything I have read didn't mention that it is a life threatening illness.
I've talked to our vet about duck health before we got the ducks. They consider them "exotic animals" and their "exotic vet" only comes into town a couple times a week. I will see how much they charge, but I heard it was like $100.
I had a silver apple yard hen only about 9 mos. old. She was a runt and pretty much unable to lay eggs, every time she did lay an egg, they were very tiny or not well formed. Two days ago she didn't want to come out of her house in the morning, I thought maybe because she didn't want me to...
