Hi,
I am downsizing my flock for winter and have three extra salmon faverolles cockerels that I thought someone might appreciate. I am in the Newberg (mid-willamette valley) area and am willing to drive up to a half hour away. The boys are just starting to get their adult plumage in. They will...
I'm in Oregon as well, I've been setting up a sprinkler and letting it run for a bit to help cool the ground down. My chickens don't usually like the direct spray but they will stand in the mist or roll/bathe in the damp ground. It's definitely hard when it gets hot, I worry about them too.

Woke up this morning to one chick out and another pipped! Nothing yet from the shipped eggs but all three were alive and wiggling last night when I candled. The waiting and anticipation is getting to me!
Just candled my eggs, and it was so exciting to see my three developing and moving around! I had 12 shipped, one came slightly cracked despite good packaging so I know they were tossed around a bit. Three were clears and the other six were early quitters. Hoping all my little ones make it to...
