    We will have cell service there. And... we found out that power can easily be done. Our neighbor has power. It’s a very different place to live. Mail is delivered by boat. We are excited to get started but... the road in isn’t passable for another month.

    All is good here. I have 7 hens now, all 1 yo or less. DH and I just bought a small piece of land in the mountains and we are going to build an off grid cabin on it. Covid free so far. And you?? How are you guys doing?

    Thanks. I do believe that it is tape worms. How the heck do chickens get them? Can my dog and cats get infected? I ordered some Equimax.

    Surprise!! One of my hatched pullets is officially a Ayam Cemani. Breeder confirmation. She will only lay about 80 eggs per year at most, but she is an unexpected treasure.

    Well, at this point, I have no clue as to who is who. All of my chickens are a blackish color. I guess I just wait until someone decides to crow.

    Cat with black boogers

    My 4.5 month old rescue also has black nose boogers. She is an Orange and White tabby. She had a URI when I adopted her. I clean the boogers and the next day, they are back. She gets spayed in 2 weeks. I’ll ask about it then.

    Update on the Littles. All is well. They are integrating well with the Bigs. Only one hen picks on them. I will be remodeling the coop soon. The Littles still sleep in their box, but have looked into the coop. :wee
