    Two Story Coop

Great feedback, everyone! Thank you! I am going to remove the wire for sure and just add cleats. So far, they seem to enjoy being on the upper level. They're usually up there when I go down in the morning to check on them. As soon as I open up one of the hatches on the lower level they all...

    Two Story Coop

Jetdog, we tightly wrapped the ramp in poultry netting- think that'll work? They're still not brave enough to actually try the ramp. Haha

    Two Story Coop

Hello BYC! My husband and I recently moved our wee babes out into the big outdoors! We still need to install the roosts in their coop and get the run finished up (it's been raining and miserable- so they're confined to coop life for a few days), but I just thought I would share some photos of...

    Let's play "Guess That Chicken"

Wyandottes7, As Foghorn continues to grow- what will be the deciding factor between her being a White Plymouth Rock or a White Leghorn? Thanks!

    Let's play "Guess That Chicken"

Wyandottes7, awesome! Crank and Shaft have pinkish-yellow legs. Not quite as yellow as Foghorn's. If they are all pullets I will be THRILLED. We can have roosters since I live in the mountains- but I'm not sure I want to start off my first batch with a rooster.

Thanks, Blackberry18! Honda is my favorite. She's so sweet. I'm not familiar with White Plymouth Rocks- Foghorn is the most skittish of them all. Gertrude and the twins are all very mellow, very sweet. Pollo Rojo has been the mystery chick since we brought her home. It'd be great if she was a...

    Let's play "Guess That Chicken"

Hey all- I'm very new to chickens and picked up these 6 lil' chickies at my local Big R. I've posted photos. Any help identifying what they are would be much appreciated! I picked them up on April 11th and I'm assuming they're somewhere between 3 and 4 weeks old. Honda: Foghorn...

    Colorado

Hullo everyone! I just went and picked up 6 new little wee babes from our local Big R. I live up in Conifer and my husband and I are so excited to start a chicken adventure! I'm not sure how old or what type our little chickies are, but I am certainly SMITTEN! My only concerns at this...

    Greetings from Colorado!

The photo isn't the best quality because of the heat lamp. That red color distorts everything! Any clue what the little black ones might be? Scurvie :0)

Silkiecuddles, A buff orpington, really!? I sure hope so... Her wing feathers and tail feathers are coming in really, really white... Still possible for a buff orpington? One of my friends was thinking white leghorn. Thanks, Kelsie2290! I will certainly check that out! Scurvie :0)

    Greetings from Colorado!

Hello BYC! My husband and I have talked about getting chickens for a while and last Saturday I went and picked up 6 new little wee babes from our local Big R. I'm not entirely sure what type they are or how old they are- but I sure am smitten! We live in Conifer, Colorado- which is about an...
