    Huge egg, but no egg eater today!

    We got 4 eggs out of 4 girls today :) No signs of my eggeater since it warmed up a bit :celebrate And to add we got a ginormous egg! Don't know how many yolks yet, but man it had to hurt on the way out. This is out first big one in a week or so,and it's the biggest yet, but I'm still watching...

    The pictures are of one of the eggs that were pecked. We have found 2 this week that were all but destroyed and eaten. I may be able to get a pic of that later. We have them exclusively to lay, and technically they are my 5 and 14 year old sons chickens. I would rather not have to eat one, but...

    Newbie with lots of questions :)

    Hello from North Idaho. We have a small flock, 2 Rhode Island Whites and 2 Dominique's. I got suckered in to them and have become quite fond. I have a few questions on egg shapes but I'll post that elsewhere. I look forward to getting to know you all :)
