My Black Headed Caique Elwood gets shot!

Just thought I'd share a video of Elwood. He's usually more charismatic, hopping around and laughing when he plays dead. Having Chihuahuas in the background barking at him put him off his game. Enjoy!

If neighbor poisoned our birds, what can I do?

Also call the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and report him for poisoning migratory birds. I know it's not much help, but FWS takes these things seriously and it's another offense to hit him with.

Just wondering how this is turning out. Does he have a home? There's one here in Brooklyn if he needs one.

Very nice analysis. Quote: Thanks for the series of photos put together! Folks - look at the pictures: 1 & 2 - if you ignore the tail and they look like the exact same animal. Skinny legs, white underbelly all the way up to the jaw, white of the inside of the ear, sleak body (photo...

what is this on my game-cam?

I just went through all of these posts and love the pics from the game cam. My original guess was fox. It just seemed too small. Glad to see I was on the mark. Please keep posting. It's interesting to see what shows up. Great thread.

Share Pics of your Farm Dogs

This is Libby. She really was a farm dog. She lived on a cattle ranch of several hundred acres in Kansas. Trouble was, she has a taste for chicken ... on the hoof. She is a black and tan English shepherd.

Oh he is gorgeous. I wish I could have a roo in the city. Were those silkies yours? The blue and splash were gorgeous. I'll probably end up posting pictures of your birds!! I don't have any chickens now. I found one at the beginning of the summer and she started me off. I was keeping her...

I used to be a member of LIPS years ago, but not any longer. They meet too far from me. A dear friend of mine was an active member and moved to Florida a few years ago, Gloria Z. Do you know her? There were Hyacinth Macaws at the show and some budgies, canaries, Bourkes keets, finches I...

What is your birds favorite toy ???

Cat ball with a bell in it. My keet likes to play basketball with it, throwing it into his bowls. Also have one hanging on a string and he likes to sling it and then duck!

    Pionus or caique

Something else to think about. Every morning before I leave for work I have to make sure he has fresh water, seeds and pellets, and fresh foods. There's no rushing out the door for me. I have to chop his fresh fruits and veggies. It's a chore. I have to plan my shopping to make sure I have...
