    Pecking Roo

    Sometimes separating them helps a little. But roo's do that when mating so I wouldnt hold my breath for a complete stop. Put some Blu-Kote on it. Chickens are attracted to the color red and blood and will continue to peck at it. Cover it with Blu-Kote to help hide it.

    No rush on my part. Think about it and let me know sometime. Did you get them from A hatchery or an individual? Do you sale and ship eggs? I would consider that route if need be. I'm just starting to look around and its really the wrong time of year for hatcheries.

    I'm not sure how much your willing to spend. BUT what works for me is, I use a stock tank heater in a cooler. I plumed in a fish pond pump and circulate the water thru pvc pipe. I tried plastic water nipples but they would still freeze. I swapped them out for all stainless steel nipples. 2...
