    Is this a RIR cockerel? Also can anyone tell me what breed hens are?

    Thank you to everyone who responded. My 8 year old is in 4H and has entered him in the local fair as a rooster. He would be devastated if he had to withdraw. I use to raise chickens as a child also, but this one threw me. He just hasn't crowed yet, but I thought he was a roo. Thanks again...
