Yes the skull seemed intact looked more like an abrasion from hatching but I’m no expert… she looked like she was doing better early today but around 11am she started to look really weak lasted about 1/2 hour and died in my hands.
Thank you for all the help… we’ve got him 2 friends as tractor supply has a minimum of 2 ducklings… he was a little weirded out but they seem to have adjusted to each other. I didn’t think about the mirror or stuffy but good to know for future reference.
I hope so too… these are the things I’ve been giving them… in case anyone was wondering and could give me feedback on it. We’ve raised ducks since one week (their parents) but never newborn hatchlings and definitely not with these special circumstances.
Those are my next steps… I tried looking for the vitamins yesterday but I guess the were out which is why I milled the duck feed pellets… I’ve been dribbling food and water on the side of the bill and put the water and food bowls close so she can take a few paces toward it… it’s trying to walk...
