    I have had free range ducks for years on farm ponds they do fine. Yes sometimes they get eaten. But I let my Anatolian farm the farm. And the Coyotes and other 4 legged things get eaten by the Anatolians. If I hear coyotes or foxes it I just turn out the dogs and it's done.

    Just do a google search for turtle trap. There are several types. Just choose the one you feel like making. I have wiped turtles out of ponds with a shotgun. shot will not bounce off the ponds flat surface.

    I have two a Giant Schnauzer and a german shepard. Any dog properly trained and with the right temperment will work.

    Taste it if it taste like chicken it is your predator. Looks like coon to me.

    I promise it is not 50 pounds. 30 is a very large coon. And I have seen very few that big. Most are less than 20.

    If you live where you can use firearms 12ga with a load of #5's or larger is hard on kitty cat. Turkey loads will pound a cat. Plus you do not have to worry about over shooting your property. And the bonus is you do not have to be a good shot to tag one.
