I thought the main coccidosis sign was blood in the poo? Their poo has been normal. Is corid the one I put in the water? we've never had sick chickens before - injured, but not sick - sorry for all the questions! We just replaced all the coop bedding because we moved the run. Do I need to do 2...

I got the eye ointment & gave her some. We put it directly on her eye & around it, I hope that's right. Her eye was very cloudy. There was some yellowish brown discharge in the corner & the lid was red & puffy. The box says to use it 2-3x per day but doesnt say for how long. I dont want to stop...
Thank you! Our local store has the eye cream, I will try it. We've done cat food & soaked our feed in regular bowls or on the floor of her little coop. Also, the kids hand fed worms & meal worms. She's not normally bullied, it's perhaps just her eye looking different? I'll keep it in mind if the...
One of our lower pecking order hens was pecked in her right eye. We've given her some extra love and protein heavy treats, vitamins in her water. She was eating very little & having trouble with her aim. We separated her for a day in a little rabbit hutch in the run so she could see & be seen...
Her daddy was a silkie. A variety of moms, so I tried my best: black skin, five toes. Now she looks like this. Is she a frizzle? Does she need special care out of the brooder? I live in a dry climate, does that help? Her name is Poof.
And thanks for your fast reply! My other kids (4, 6 & 8) were running around yelling "argh! They're going to eat until they explode!" I'm glad they should be ok.
Ok. I've dumped their bedding in the big girls run. They're very happy!
As for the babies, they're not supposed to have meal worms yet, o know. But the baby apparently disagreed. Should I give them extra grit?
My 1 year old dumped about 15 oz. Of dried mealworms in the brooder with 3-1 week old bantam half-silkies. And then picked some back put and ate them. :sick I have no idea how many meal worms the chicks ate, but they were gorging themselves. Are they ok?
Also, I scooped as much as I could out...
