Green Nostrils / weirdly shaped hen

WARNING: MAYBE GRAPHIC PICTURES Sorry it’s not a very good picture. She also has yellow bumps on her vent and belly that looks very odd. The one on her vent, especially looks like a scab.

I used the triple antibiotic one with no “Caine” ingredients. I did notice her preening gland was very dirty and “leaking.” I’m guessing it’s because she can’t reach far enough back to express it. I’ll get a picture as soon as I do her bath today.

The spot on her eye was some crustified discharge. Here’s a couple pictures of her while she’s preening and not preening. She seems to be a little more chipper today :) Thank you guys for the advice. Got some Neosporin today! She has a very hard time preening and this is the farthest she can reach.

Thank you for the kind words. That's interesting to hear about the wry neck and ear infections. I am just concerned about the suddenness of the swelling and pale comb. She's a sweet girl and is admittably my favorite. I'll feed her some selenium rich food to see if that helps. She's sleeping...

She also pooped inside and there was something that looked like bloody tissue. Her comb is a lot paler than yesterday. I’m probably going to put her down if she doesn’t look any better tomorrow. It’s no way for a chicken to live

Brought her inside to wash her feet. Her eye is swollen and keeps scratching it against her feathers.

Thank you so much replying! I had a girl with ascites last year and it’s definitely not that. (Thank goodness!!) I’m thinking maybe a Vitamin A deficiency. I’ve heard that it can mimic a respiratory disease and often comes with skin issues such as bumblefoot. The water she throws up is just...

The blood came from some feather shafts. I don’t know if they were pecked out or not. Her poop has in the past been very watery and smelly (compared to other normal chicken poo) The nose matter is very dry and almost moldy looking. Her nostrils are too small to clean them out with a q-tip...

I found some blood on vent area and am going to bring her inside to monitor her.

One of my 5 year old Orpingtons has always had raspy (Darth Vader) breathing and I've always figured she had a deformity. I'll post a picture of her, but she's not a normal chicken...shape. Like no neck, all fluff, no tail feathers. Her two sisters from the same hatchery look normal but she has...
