Whatever he is grows slower and are healthier than Cornish cross. He doesn't look unhealthily unproportionate. Is it possible he had a leg injury as a chick? Can you take another picture of him from the front? I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this.
I don’t suppose you’d be able to ship any hatching eggs to Alaska? I’m already getting some ameraucana hatching eggs (and maybe some silkied ayam cemanis!) so this a really cool project!
What’s your favorite color of ameraucanas?
The Seward Peninsula, Alaska (think Arctic Circle.) You would think that there would be more predators here, but most of them are pretty chill.
Yeah, I probably should 🤣 I keep forgetting.
The only ones I worry about where I am are loose dogs, but when I lived somewhere else, there were minks and they were horrible. They would kill a bunch of birds, but not eat them. And they can squeeze through tiny holes!
We’re really lucky that the (not domesticated anyway) predators here...
This is an “Americana” which is apparently not an ameraucana but more like an Easter egger. Opinions on her color and what she would look like in a genetic calculator? She looks a lot like a silver ameraucana but an edge of red around her feathers.

This little guy is the chick of the hen...
My black Wyanlorp hens are doing really well. They are very hardy and have rose combs. I only have two three year olds but they laid almost every day until this year 😭 They are mean to me though (I named them velociraptor and vengeance)
