Hello,
About a week ago I lost 4 of my 6 chickens (pullets) to a fox attack. I am trying to replace them ASAP so the other 2 are not too lonely, although they seem extremely bored and a bit different than before. For example they crave attention a lot more and come running much quicker than...
I am looking for 1-2 asian black hens just like these. Do you know where I can find some without having to order the 10 minimum quantity from the hatchery?
Hello All,
Hoover hatchery replied and confirmed the chickens as: Asian Black and Red cochin bantam. Still waiting on the last.
Thank you all for you help. I will be looking to purchase these 2 baby chicks if anyone is aware of a reliable source. TCS is an option but may not have these...
Hello All,
Hoover Hatchery got back to me and confirmed the breed of this chicken as an Asian Black chicken.
Thank you all for your help, I will be ordering one ASAP. If anyone knows of a good source for asian black baby chicks I am all ears!

I was actually planning on calling them today... I needed to figure out the exact day I picked them up. Thats greas advice ill let you know if I get lucky! Hopefully they keep good documentation

The breeds we have narrowed down to are: 1) Ayam Cemani or a mix with it (possible silkie, side note, what distinguishing features...
They say roosters look you in the eye and this one certainly did that sometimes. She/he was very aware of surroundings as well so I think you are right. I did not notice any saddle feathers however but all other signs point to rooster. Those are not allowed in my town so it makes this much...
