    Update - Georgetown County, SC now allows 4 hens at a minimum of 10,000 sq ft, max 16 hens. No roosters. If you have a mandatory HOA with deed restrictions then you can be fined or sued.

    I live in Hagley in Pawleys and we were given a notice to remove our chickens or face fines. We have an attorney and are ready to appeal. We need support and guidance. We are Making contact with people who will support backyard chickens and changing the ordinances.

    I beleive our HOA is illegal or no enforceable. Here's why. Neighbor complained about 7 month old chickens to zoning. Zoning left a letter that we have two weeks to remove chickens or face a $500/day fine. Went to zoning and signed release of information act to see complaints. Plan to talk to...
