    Cochin sexing

    4 week old Standard Cochin. Just for fun, 😁because I know it’s really too early to tell, but thinking the first pic is a pullet and the second is a cockerel! What do y’all think?!

    Well! I’m hoping you are right that it’s a Roo! I was told I was getting all female and I was going to order a favorelle cockerel, but guess I’ll just have to wait for crowing or an egg! 😜😊

    This favorelle has a creamy white chest, but black flight feathers, head and neck. Also a few black feathers on feet. Is she just poorly bred??

    Absolutely! (In GA) I hope they were making sure the people buying them were set up to take care of them! I couldn’t believe how few they had! We usually buy 4 every Spring to replace the oldest girls’s egg production, but when we went they only had 2 tubs with a few chicks in each...

    These 2 were labeled Columbian Wyandotte at Tractor Supply, but now they are growing leg feathers and have brown and gray wings. Their breast feathers are speckled... Any ideas on what breed they really are?
