Hi I took my hen to the avian vet because she had loud breathing, very raspy. This was last week he said lower respiratory infection gave her tylan and anti inflammatory meds. Still sounds bad after treatment. So he then put her on doxycycline. 2nd day on it still sounds bad. Meanwhile she acts...- shannon84

Oh no nothing like that. Just really faint wheezing. Acts absolutely fine. Usually when they get sick it sounds like a cat purring. This is different.- shannon84

Age is unknown, but she's got to be older she's never laid eggs. I use pine shavings for bedding. She's on layer feed but they've been getting a lot of cracked corn lately. Bad I know. Good ventilation. No mucus or bubbles- shannon84
