    The black stuff is all dust and sand from his bath. He eats a lot of fresh food so he gets a bit sticky and needs to be wiped sometimes :). I'll look into Terramycin, thank you! I tried using a wet Qtip to no avail

    Yeah I think it's probably some dirt, I just can't work out why it won't budge :(. At least it hasn't caused an infection..

    Hi everyone, Two or so days ago my boy Chickpea developed a black spot on his eye. I noticed his iris was more red than the other eye, which drew my attention to the black spot. He keeps closing his eye and is seems to be irritating him. I've tried to rinse it out but it won't budge and doesn't...

    I think the dad was Buff Orpington, the mom I'm not sure of as the nest was abandoned and I peeled Chickpea out of the egg as it was cold for hours

    Hey everybody, So I have an almost 10 week old chicken called Chickpea, we cannot decide if Chickpea is a hen or a rooster. We would really like her to be a hen because we live in the suburbs.. but I'm starting to have my doubts. Some opinions from people who know more would be really helpful...
