    I like the Faverals I don't think I spelled that right. They are a big bird with interesting plumage with their fluffy feet. They are good layers and don't seem to go broody all the time like my Light Sussex birds do.

    I have 7 hens and a beautiful light sussex rooster, he is a gentle soul and I can almost pat him he allows me to get that close. He seems friendly and has never been aggressive towards me or Mark. He does protect the hens if there is a hawk or feral cat hanging around. He doesn't bother my dog...

    wouldn't be a ferret would it? they tend to just eat the necks.

    my dogs are great with my chickens but I did once have a dog that would chase them. I tied him up in the chook yard with a kennel, kibble and water when I wasn't able to watch him. he soon became so used to them he didn't bother with them at all. till the day he died he never even looked...

    Our first little baby chicks hatched last Wednesday, we got nine healthy chicks. They are so cute. I wanted to load a video from my computer but I don't really know how to do it here. It doesn't give me a browse option.
