I raise buff orpingtons. We had a RIR rooster at one point, but now I have a buff Orpington rooster. It's been months, since the RIR has been gone. When one of my hens hatched eggs, I noticed a darker color. She is now the color of a RIR. How long does a roosters fertilization stay in a hen?
