My polish hen is completly bald from plucking. When I found her her whold head was a giant swollen bubble from all the relentless pecking. I took her in and put neosporin on the wounds. She was not eating and barely drinking for days. She was very depressed and I am certain her head must have...
Well hen is still alive. She is barely eating or drinking. I have been giving her the calcium citrate for the last 2 days, no egg has passed. Not sure what to do to get her to eat. Offering pellets and calcium in separate dish, and raw egg in another. And rooster booster poultry cell in her water.
I believe she was laying, but I have 30 chickens, hard to know who's egg is who's :( I will get some calcium today afterwork. I saw some people give with the D3 in it. I have not tried that yet. Should I still do the Corid? or wait and see if the Calcium does anything? I'll keep giving the...
Well, she went to live with my mothers flock and seems to be doing well over there. She just would not leave the little hen alone, so all are happy now. Thank you all for the advise.
Hello,
I have a Legbar hen about 8 months old that is poorly. I've noticed for a couple days she was just hanging out and not moving around alot, kind of fluffed up. I picked her up last night and she feels very light, like she has lost weight. I soaked her in an epsomsalt bath and then felt...

i found this on line, but not sure if it's true.
I have the Safe-Guard goat wormer. So I can add to the drinking water bowl? Or has to be each individually? I'm scared I will get it down the wrong tube and choke them to death!
I'll try again, there are 2 of each water/food now and flock blocks as well. And when I get home from work I let them all out to forage.
I just don't think the little hen will come out of the coop :(
She hasn't drawn blood yet, but she is much larger than the old little hen she it attacking. The older hen has lost alot of weight as she just hides in the coop now, she is afraid to eat. I don't know what to do, that's why I took the other out.
They have all been together for several months...
