Male to female ratio for pheasants.

We have a female pheasant. We are wanting to get a male and possibly another female. Do we have to have a certain amount of females for the male like with ducks? Or does it not matter?

    We have a pheasant

I have been wanting pheasants for awhile now. I just didn’t think it would happen so soon. We were at a local livestock auction when there was a female red golden pheasant. I commented how cute she was and next thing I know my husband was bidding on her. We got her for $15. I do not know how old...

There are some eggs that still haven’t hatched yet. We are not sure how to tell if they are good or...

    Washed or Unwashed Eggs

With unwashed eggs, do you wash them before you eat them? Or is it okay to just crack them open as they are. Provide any poop, dirt or straw has been wiped off lol.

    Guinea or geese with ducks?

I have been doing a small bit of research about protecting my ducks. We will soon have 13 ducks. Of course we will have them pinned up at night but I would like to let them have time to free range during the day. One of the reasons I like having ducks is the natural pest control. Also just want...
