    pine shavings

    Thanks so much for all of this advice! I was really worried about switching from paper towels to pine shavings- was afraid they'd get sick from eating them.

    Brooder Bedding & Dust

    I'm using paper towels over a heavy duty plastic tablecloth that I glued to the bottom of the brooder. I put new towels down every morning and then cover it with clean ones once during the day when they get dirty. Clean up is easy and there's no smell. I have my 4 one week old chicks in my house...
