Besides disease or your chickens becoming roadkill. If you leve them in the run everything should be fine, but if you free range your chickens they might take a liking to the other flock and just stay with them and roost in your neighbors coop. Thats just an idea all i have to worry about is...
1. Make jerkey out of my 9 extra roosters.
2.Breed hens with certian roosters in my flock.
3.Dont add 30 more birds to my flock this year.
Thats about it, And yes chicken jerkey is delicious.
Theres possums everywhere at my house, dont kill em much though.
Bout everytime I go outside of a night there is a possum in my yard so I bring a flash light and chase em or climb a tree if I halfto.
Waitin to catch a large male possum so I can have a good stew. They got some awesome skulls...
Keep the chicken away from the others because they wont stop pecking at the wound. For the hawk problem some states let you shoot em if they are eating your chickens but you caint do that. All the hawk attacks i witnessed I just ran over as fast as I could to scare it off before it does any...
Some of you are blowing this way out of proportion.
I was protecting my flock. There was no cloar on the feral cat. It posed a threat and I neutralized that threat.
Whats so bad about that.
Some of you can spay and neuter all you want but that cat is still going to kill native anmals. Like...
The one I got a few weeks ago I trapped. The one that I got last night I just saw him and got the gun as quickly as possible. Just have the gun close by so you can get it fast when you see them again.
You can all out hunt them if you have a good dog you can tree them then take them out.
This is about feral cats like the one that bit a bullet last night in my yard. Like its a big deal we are talking about strays too well they kinda go along with the subject.
Whoever feels the need to report something as stupid as that needs something better to do with their spare time...
