    HI!!! I bought my first coop, last winter, and purchased my first chickens this spring. I have a pair each, of silkie bantams, and American Bresse.

    thank you. I am trying all suggestions...she is still in the coop, all day. I kick her out to go eat, etc. She soon returns. Mine seems to be one of those!! I guess I just wait it out! thanks.

    Hi. I am new to a BY coop. I went to buy 2 hens, and he sold me 2 fer. A pullet, and a cockerel, ( i know now). So, I took them both. They were cute, and silkie bantams. Soon, I found the hens i really wanted...but I was told the roo had to go with the hen. They were also still...

    I was looking for info on my broody silkie hen. Came across this site. So much good information. Thank you soo much. I started following the advice today....by putting a baggie of frozen vegies in the nest she lays in. It did NOT deter her. She was sitting halfway out, of the nest. Now...
